How do you know that stage hypnotism is real?
I’m curious how *you* know stage hypnotist shows are real?
Have you volunteered for one…did anything bizzare happen?
Amherst College, 1984, a stage hypnotist named Gill Eagles came to the school student center on a Saturday night and I went on stage with about 15 others. He hypnotized all the others, but not me.
I still remember thinking that they must have been faking it.
I was trying to go along with it but I’ve always been a bad liar.

Does hypnotism work for worry and fear?
I worry constantly about 2 things, death and the 2012 theories. I would do anything to get rid of these fears, honestly. I feel like they dominate my life. I have anxiety and that probably has something to do with the worrying as well. I just want to be able to enjoy my life and live normally again. I hate living like this. Please help.
It might help you, but I think the problem is deeper. You are very affected by stupid religious things. You must change your whole mind from the bottom. I know that´s difficult in the states. But the belief is mostly the reason for many fears.
I think a psychological therapy will help more.

Can hypnotism help make a below average child do better in studies?
This child is good in reading and very good orally. Very expressive. He dreams a lot and hardly concentrate in his studies. Not consistent in studies and fail all his exams. He is 11years old.
a person can only become hypnotized if they have a specific kind of mind and believe that it is possible. hypnotism can be used to resurface hidden or old memories, discover hidden potentials and cause a person to act or behave in ways they would normally not. It cannot however, cause a person to become MORE intelligent than they already are, unless that person was already of a higher intelligence but were just not displaying that intelligence for what ever reason. Unless boy you speak of is already smart enough to be achieving higher marks than he is currently displaying then hypnotism would have no affect on him. also the act of hypnotizing someone is a very complicated form of mind control that can only be used to do small and specific things. you couldn’t take him to a hypnotist, have him brainwashed into wanting to do better and then take him home again. If it was successful and no other variables came into play, the effects of such a form of hypnotism would still ware off over a short period of time and the boy would just return to his normal behaviour and mindset.
on saying that, what kind of exams would be held for 11 year olds? o_O most boys in his age are failures at school and don’t really care about studying or work, they are more interested in playing and mucking around. cut the poor thing some slack, he’s still in primary school and will have to suffer through enough exam crap when he reaches high school. it sounds more like your are looking for some way to alter his personality than anything else.
What is Hypnotism, Does it Really Work?
Can anyone tell me about hypnotism, and does it really work? Or is it just another con? Modern day society is more polluted with "professional" criminals than ever in history. I have a strong suspicion that this is another scam.
Ahaha, seriously, hypnotism is true. I felt the same way you did, that it was bullshit and they just did it to scam people. But I am in grade 12, and my math teacher is a professional hypnotist, and one day he decided to half hypnotise us. He convinced our brains that if we put our hands together, we wouldnt be able to take them away. Hypnotism is just another word for mental manipulation. But it is true though.

Why does a person have to be in a relaxed state for hypnotism to work?
and is it true that during hypnosis there will be emotional trauma in life remembered and does the patient still stay in a relaxed state or not?

Its relax’s the brain and the brain needs to acceptable to hypnosis, so yes you must be relaxed, its relaxation techniques that actually hypnotise you, but not everyone can be hypnotised, i myself have been hypnotised, and i found it a deeply relaxing experience, i did not experience any ‘flash’ backs or anything like that, i just felt very relaxed, (it was all caught on tape, so i know nothing funny happened), and when i woke up i felt free, care free and have never felt so alive in my life, i had loads of energy to burn, its a pleasureable experience if done correctly!!
