Have you ever used a hypnotherapist to address phobias/fears and was it successful ?
Anxiety and being a little self conscious are 2 things which have plagued me throughout my life and I was wondering if anyone who suffered similarly used hypnotherapy to alleviate them and was it successful or not ?? Thank you.

Hi
Anxiety is definitely manageable but you need to find a therapist who has been well trained and belongs to a leading organisation. The issue of your insecurity may take a while longer to sort out but honestly you can beat this problem but you may need to give it some time. I have had some great successes with anxiety problems over the years, I also give clients a cd to listen to at home but to be honest, buying one from Boots or somewhere similar will not help really.
They are only of use in conjunction with proper therapy. If you need any more information check out my web page on anxiety – www.ripleyhypnotherapy.co.uk/anxiety-2.html
I hope this helps
Best wishes

I have had the same two problems all of my life. My psychologist recommended me to a hypnotist, but I think it’s because he was a terrible psychologist.

I’ve been suffering from anxiety for the last 20 years.
Not everyone can be hypnotised but I can.
May I suggest that you go to boots the chemist &
buy a relaxation tape. The are narrated and the guide
will take you through the techniques. If you can’t find
one at boots, your GP. will have some for free.
These have been a big help for me in the past so
good luck to you. Anxiety & panic attacks are awful !!

I did around 18 years ago, for anxiety / depression
The hypnotist even made me a personal tape to play at home
Was it any good – No,but maybe i was just unlucky
and sadly for me it was a total waste of money
Nowadays I accept that I will have good days and not-so-good days
Some people recommend Reiki healing and I plan to try this in the New Year
and mange my anxiety by deep breathing and strectching exercises
