how do I ask my doctor to refer me to a "hypnotherapist"?
do I tell him straight out like that …a hypnotherapist?
or do I say a psychiatrist?
Say it straight out. Not all psychiatrists do hynopherapy. Just tell him/her that it is something that you want to try and see how it works. BTW, it is great! I was trained in self hypnosis…and it is great when I am stressed or in pain, etc.
tell him straight out hypnotherapist, and psychiatrist. or both and why you are wanting to see these people.

no you don’t tell him straight out that you want a hypnotherapist. you tell him what is going on to lead you to think you need one. then they can help you from there….
