I’m 19 years old, and thinking of becoming a hypnotherapist, I’ve done research. Is this a good career choice?
I’ve done research, I have an orientation set up. I am planning to get my psychology degree once I have gotten my hypnotherapy certificate. I just want opinions from individuals who know or are hypnotherapists. Thank You.
It totally depends on whether or not you are in an area that uses alternative health methods and whether or not you can get regular clientele. It’s a cool course though and comes in handy for years after you learn the techniques. Just don’t count on it as your sole income.
If you have done research and feel this would be a rewarding career for you, then it’s a good career choice. What matters is what’s right for you.

I’m a certified hypnotherapist.
I used hyponotherapy during labor with help from a childbirth doula(shes a friend of mine), it was awesome and I think its a very promising and rewarding career option. I have heard wonderful things from other people who used hyponosis for other things.
I also think with all the war stuff in afganistan and iraq hypnotherapy will become a hot career to help out our war vets deal with PTSD. you have alot of potential to do lots of good
